Two bits of video I want to share with you from the Samphran Elephant Grounds: an elephant using her trunk to drink from the tap, and another elephant dancing in her pen to the Mission: Impossible theme.

Oh I laughed at this… and had to muse, “What was God thinking during the moment He created the elephant? They’re so… odd yet cool looking.” Thanks for sharing!
Elephants are cute!
So cute! I love Elephants…
HaHaHa Loved both of these ! Notice how the ‘keeper’ of the first elephant kept backing away when he/she filled her trunk with water -she did have a rather ‘mischievous’ look on her face ! Lol
Wow that is so cool. Thanks for uploading and sharing your videos.Wikipedia says:”The elephant’s trunk is sensitive enough to pick up a single blade of grass, yet strong enough to rip the branches off a tree.”and”Elephants suck water up into the trunk—up to 14 litres (15 quarts) at a time—and then blow it into their mouth.”
Pretty smart those dumbos, eh?
Nice videos! I too was waiting for the moment she sprayed you with the water…
Elephants are smarter than I thought. I was thinking the elephant might spray Tawn, lol. It seemed the handsome boy was concerned also, hehe. Actually the worst Zoo case was in San Diego Zoo where I saw a monkey swing his poo to the people and hit the guy next to me. A water spray in hot Thailand may be a better alternative, hehe.
It seems the elephants are pretty happy at this zoo! Is is the same elephant drinking and dancing? How old is he/she?
They are all going extinct :'(Just like the whales…
How cute.@Wangium – Lol. Tell us mo 😮
This made me smile! They are so cute 🙂
This is wonderful Chris. I am going to have the boys come over to watch these two videos. Thanks for posting.
that was awesome! noah+davis!
@ZSA_MD – Age-appropriate content!@TheCheshireGrins – @theLuser – @Dezinerdreams – @choyshinglin – Glad you enjoyed.@Wangium – Okay, what’s got you all grumpy? =P@Passionflwr86 – Odd looking creatures, aren’t they? I often imagine they look at us and think the same thing.@CurryPuffy – Two different elephants, actually. Both are old enough to bear children but I don’t recall exact ages.@stevew918 – @murisopsis – I was actually concerned that the elephant might get playful and spray me but I figured if I wanted the good shot, I needed to get closer. The risks I take for my blog!@beowulf222 – An inaccurate nickname…@Senlin – While I watched, I was trying to work through in my mind what would happen if I tried to snort water up my nose and then blow it back out. Seemed like I haven’t evolved for that skill.@Chatamanda – I’d like to think the trainer was just getting out of my picture, but he probably knew better!
@christao408 – Oh well, let’s blame it on childhood when I watched the Disney movie “Dumbo, the Flying Elephant”.
And they never forget all those intricate dance moves! Thanks for sharing.
the things humans teach animals to do for mere entertainment. sigh… it’s kinda cute but i can’t help but to feel a little sorry for the big guy. set them free, people. set them free.
