I came across this video, from the San Francisco Chronicle, on Chris Crain’s blog. It is really moving and I want to share it with you.
Tawn and I will next be in San Francisco together in December. If the voters of California are favorable, maybe we can tie the knot then, making legal the commitment ceremony we conducted back in 2004.
Congratulations to every spouses for life.
Nice video…
I found your blog on the Foodie Blogring. Not sure I belong to the webring myself, so just reading some blogs to get a feel. I really enjoyed it though. Thailand is beautiful and you are a great guide! We are newly moved to the San Diego area, so I hope you “get official” in December, figure out your wheat bread recipe and share more great food from Thailand. Thanks.
Congrat to you…maybe I should marry to Gavin Newsom ha ha
I’m sure the Californians will let you get married there. BTW, they say that unlike Massachussetts, in order to get married in California, you don’t have to be a citizen of the state and your marriage will still be legal if you live elsewhere. Yay!
@UFFda_oyVEY – That is correct. I read the SF County Clerk’s website to check and you can get married there regardless of citizenship or nationality. Very equal opportunity.
@sagicaprio – Thanks, Tae. You’ll have to fight off a lot of people to get your hands on Mayor Newsom – I suspect he’s a mighty eligible bachelor!
@socaltransplant – Thanks a lot for stopping by and welcome to San Diego. I lived there for six months from 1996-97 and thoroughly enjoyed the city. It is still on my list of places I’d potentially like to live. I remember on Christmas Day the weatherman was reporting from Mission Bay, his pants cuffed and feet in the water, telling us how San Diego officially had the best weather in the nation that day. They cut back to him a half-dozen times during the newscast. Hope you’ll keep reading. Regards, Chris
I really, really hope that the voters of California are human and humane enough to vote to keep gay marriage legal in November. Hopefully all of the other states will take notice and start legalizing that which should be legal in the first place. Every couple in love deserves to be married 🙂
That awesome….I would love to see you two married.
