Three hours of reading subscriptions

While I was backing up my laptop to two external hard drives, I sat down and caught up on the eight days of Xanga subscriptions I haven’t read.  Glad to say, I’m now up to date with what everyone has been up to.  This process, though, took me three hours.  Thank goodness for jet lag and waking up at 5:00.

I’ll pick up my entries back in Kansas City, where I left off, in just a moment.  First, though, I do want to share with you a link that Toronto-based Chrispycrunch recommended.  Kari in Orange County, at age 32, wrote a very thoughtful blog entry titled “Things I wish I had known in my 20s“.

After reading it, I couldn’t think of anything else I wish I had known.  Pretty insightful for a 32-year old youngster.  Would encourage those of you over thirty to read it and see what other advice you would add to the list.  For those of you who are still in your twenties, read it and learn!

  1. Kari’s blog is outstanding.  She sounds a lot, a lot more mature than I am although I am older. I wish I had appreciated and accepted the thoughts when I was in my 20’s.

  2. That’s quite some dedication to xanga you have there. :o) But I was hoping the blog about being in one’s 20s would include something about career advice. Do you have any? I’m 22 and I’ve just begun working full-time after 5-years of interning. I’m hoping that there are things I should know now.

  3. @kenpcho – Don’t know that I would call it dedication to Xanga.  More like feeling a bit out of touch after more than a week of not reading anyone’s entries.  As for career advice, I certainly have some.  Can I think about it a bit and see if I can write something coherent for you?  That would make a good entry.

  4. @chrispycrunch – Only three hours because I hadn’t read in over a week.  Normally, I spend much less time.  As for the quality, I don’t know if the quality has changed or not because I make it a point to only subscribe to well-written blogs.  Like yours, for example.  =)
